Cala Mesquida, a long beach surrounded by pine trees and dunes, is considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Mallorca. It is situated in a quiet nature reserve, about a 15-minute drive away from Carrossa Fincas. The well-kept, fine sand beach and the clean, clear water invite you to spend the day, swim and take a sunbath. Due to its easy access and large sandy area, Cala Mesquida is also very popular among families with children.
The beautiful beach Cala Torta is situated in the middle of an undeveloped landscape and can be reached via a small country road from Artà. This extensive sand beach is particularly appreciated by nature enthusiasts, due to its location in untouched nature. From Cala Mesquida you can also access Cala Torta via a hiking trail. The little beach bar is a nice place to stop by and have a cool drink...
Colònia de Sant Pere
In Colònia de Sant Pere, one of the most picturesque holiday resorts in the bay of Alcúdia, you will discover a very authentic part of Mallorca and a lifestyle in harmony with nature. Feel free to stop at one of the seafood restaurants along the promenade, at the beautiful small marina of the village. Son Serra de Marina
The small coastal town of Son Serra de Marina is located between Artà and Can Picafort. This charming, secluded place enchants visitors because of its pleasant tranquility – there are no large hotel resorts in the area. This is why the long natural sandy beach is hardly ever crowded... You can look forward to a relaxed time at the beach with a view of the magnificent surroundings and untouched dunes. You are an active vacationer? How about giving stand-up paddle boarding a try?
Medieval town Artà
The charming little town of Artà has preserved its medieval character – its landmarks, the two churches on the fortified hill with almond and olive groves, can be seen from afar. Moreover, Artà is well known for its traditional handicrafts, such as woven baskets made from dwarf palm leaves. The lively pedestrian zone is a great place for a relaxed stroll and the town, just 5 kilometers away from Carrossa Fincas, regularly organizes weekly markets and cultural events.
Fortress of Capdepera
The Castell de Capdepera is one of the largest and best preserved medieval fortresses in Mallorca. It is located on the Puig de Capdepera, a local mountain with an elevation of 160 meters, offering scenic views of the interior. Capdepera itself appeals to visitors because of its natural stone houses with beautiful flower decorations as well as its charming, cobbled streets. In May, Capdepera hosts the medieval crafts market Marcat Mdieval, with processions and concerts.
Capdepera is one of the most impressive golf courses in Mallorca. The 18-holes are surrounded by beautiful nature and it is the closest golf course to Carrossa Fincas. You can look forward to a multifaceted golf course with fair challenges for golfers of all proficiency levels. Hole 15, located in a stunningly beautiful, rocky landscape with a wonderful view of the sea, is particularly impressive. The beautiful garden terrace with its inviting gastronomy is a very popular venue to end the day.
The 18-hole Canyamel golf course, beautifully set in the countryside, is one of the more difficult courses – even the most experienced golfer will consider it challenging. The first 9 holes offer a lot of variation and are very scenic places, allowing the golfers to take in the incredibly beautiful sea view. Hole 9 is particularly impressive: in the middle of the fairway between the flag and the tee you will find an old stone cottage. Hole 18, featuring a wave-shaped ascent to the clubhouse, is challenging as well. The back nine are characterized by flatter terrain.
The Club de Golf Alcanada is situated in a nature reserve, and features an incredibly beautiful view of the sea and the lighthouse island of Alcanada. The 18-hole golf course, which is considered to be one of the best in Mallorca, was designed by the American star architect for golf courses Robert Trent Jones Jr. The well-maintained fairways and greens are lined with beautiful pines and olive trees, and thanks to the excellent course maintenance you will be delighted by an outstanding golf experience. In the evening the light of the lighthouse creates a particularly beautiful atmosphere.
Golf Son Gual
The 18-hole golf course on slightly hilly terrain, with old olive trees and wild flowers, is considered to be one of the best maintained courses in and outside of Mallorca. It was designed by Thomas Himmel in 2007, and guarantees golfers of all skill levels an exciting time on the course, thanks to a high degree of variation. The strategically placed bunkers and the centrally located historic palacio are particularly distinctive features of this first-class golf course. At sunset, you may dine on the terrace of the clubhouse, overlooking the lights of the city of Palma.
Golf Son Servera
This 18-hole course (par 72), the second oldest golf course in Mallorca, offers an impressive view of the Levante Bay. Golf Son Servera is the only members golf club on the island. The first 9 holes, set between pine-covered mountains, were planned by John Harris in 1967. The second 9 holes, designed by Francisco López Segales, were inaugurated in spring 2012. The lakes and bunkers on the course represent a fair sportive challenge for golfers of all skill levels. Most of the charm of this golf course resides in the view of the sea and the surrounding mountains.
